What beta means
Horde, Siege and War Orb work from start to finish, but we are still tuning them. Balance, difficulty and details will keep changing, and you may hit a rough edge. You will see a BETA tag on each of them in the mode list. Deathmatch and the roguelite campaign stay the stable core of the game.
Your feedback decides what we fix first. If a mode feels too hard, too easy, unclear or broken, write to privacy@kaldrith.com. Everything below is free to try right now in your browser, with no download and no sign-up. Pick Custom Battle in the menu, choose a mode, then your hero. See How to play if you are new.
HordeBETA

Horde is a PvE mode. Your party of one to six heroes (you plus bots) holds the Ring of Ruins against a goblin warband for 10 waves. You win by surviving all ten and beating the final boss. It is balanced for parties of three to six.
- Waves and bosses. A Goblin Warlord arrives on wave 5 and the Ogre Warchief on wave 10. Waves vary: standard, swarms, champion hunts and a timed survival.
- Level up as you fight. Kills drop XP gems, which you collect inside a magnet radius. Each level offers perks from five build lines (Bulwark, Bloodlust, Arcane, Hunter, Support), three tiers each, and you can reroll an offer you do not like. Powerful evolutions such as Iron Fortress, Red Harvest, Arcane Nova, Gem Hunter and Sanctuary build on those perks.
- Chests and boons. Champions and bosses drop chests. After waves 3, 6 and 9 the whole party drafts a team boon together.
- Forgiving, but not free. Fallen heroes come back once the wave is cleared. The run is lost only if the whole party is down at the same time.
- Difficulty. Easy, Normal or Hard.
Tip Pick up gems between fights, because levels are your power curve, and spend your rerolls on the offers that fit your hero.
SiegeBETA

Siege is a 12v12 castle assault played in a single round. Sides are drawn at random, so you will attack one match and defend the next. Siege is always played in the isometric camera.
- Attackers. Escort a self-driving battering ram (healers can repair it), break the Outer Gate, take the Courtyard, break the Inner Gate and kill the Lord. Kill the Lord and the attackers win.
- The clock. It starts at 4:00 and every goal adds time. If it runs out, the defenders win.
- Defenders. Use sally ports to hit the ram, an oil cauldron over the gate, a ballista in the courtyard and gate repairs. A secret tunnel lets you ambush attackers from behind.
- Bots play it too. Each stage of the siege has its own bot strategies for both sides.
Tip Attackers: stay close to the ram, because the ram is your clock. Defenders: stopping the ram buys time, so punish anyone who runs ahead of it.
War OrbBETA

One orb, two teams. Grab the orb and every second you carry it scores a point for your team. The first team to 75 wins. If nobody gets there within 5 minutes, the leader wins.
- The carrier pays. The carrier is slower, takes more damage and is healed less.
- The burn. After a few seconds the orb starts to burn the carrier, and the longer they hold it the harder it burns. Nobody can carry it forever.
- Respawn waves. Fallen heroes return in waves every 15 seconds, so a fight over the orb can swing back quickly.
Tip Win the orb for your team, not for one hero. Pass the fight on to a fresh teammate before the burn takes over, and keep your healer close to whoever is carrying.
Also in this update
- Isometric camera by default. The arena now opens in a 45 degree isometric view. Press C to switch to the straight view. Siege is always isometric.
- New Custom Battle flow. Custom Battle now asks for the mode first and then your hero.
- New main menu. Play Now jumps straight into a battle with your last choices (the button shows the hero, mode, team size and difficulty it will start). Settings has a Controls tab and a Sound tab with master, music and effects volume.
- Arbalest: Piercing Shot is now an instant cast. It fires at once at your cursor, with no charge-up.
- Smarter bot teams. Each bot team picks a random strategy at the start of every round, and Siege has its own strategies for each stage.
What’s next and how to help
Please try the new modes and tell us what feels off: a wave that is too brutal, a Siege stage that is too one-sided, an orb that burns too fast or too slowly. Write to privacy@kaldrith.com.
One honest note. Kaldrith is single-player today: every ally and opponent is a bot on Easy, Normal or Hard. Playing online with friends, with bots filling the empty slots, is our long-term goal for these modes, but it is only planned and we have no release date.
